Broccoli Revolution

This is probably my first blog on a Vegan restaurant. I had tried some Vegan places before with Vegan burger, Tempeh and Hummus. Still, it has to be something revolutionary to write about and here it is. A restaurant with revolution on its name which I found lots of interesting gimmick.

First of all, the ambiance when you step in are just calm are refreshing. Roof interior are translucent with a dynamic shift from warm tone of sunlight to shade of cooler tone. This just add dynamic aspect to photography experience which I do not mind the challenge.

Since I just visit for a light breakfast, I went for a Cauliflower Dynamite Maki which is a exclusive for this branch and Limade (Lemonade from Lime as they claim). They already have three branches in Bangkok as far as I wrote this blog.

Cauliflower Dynamite Maki [Brown rice Sushi with Carrot, Avocado, Asparagus, Chickpea, spicy Cauliflower and Soya pearls] I just love the idea that Vegan Sushi could be colorful and enjoyable at the same time. Seasoning remains on a bit light with an option of Soy sauce and Wasabi per individual preference. Seaweed are also fried and provides a crunchy support texture.

This Limade is probably one of the most condensed sour Limade in restaurant which I would say it is a reasonable price for 80 THB per glass of Limade. The straw are just made of glass though. It is quite scary to think if someone chewed the straw too hard.

Overall, I would say this place is an eye-broadening experience as a Vegan curious try out. I would say the ambiance are also nice for a slow brunch or a good lunch too.

Cha um

Cha-um [adj] is a Thai word which translates as Verdant in English. Recently compact pop up store resides in Vibrant Gump community mall. Gump community mall seems to be aligned in Pastel color scheme. Keep in mind that they do not have parking spaces at the moment if you are driving.

Cha um clearly depicts itself as a healthy hang out cafe located at center of the community mall. Menu consists of Salmon Donburi, salad, Thai cuisine and smoothies. I personally like the vibe of hanging out and having delicious healthy meal while feeling outside environment at the same time.

Salmon Donburi are beautifully presented. The texture of Salmon are fresh and contains no trace of fishy odor. The rice are served warmed which is an enjoyable texture.

Salads contains of various fruits from green apple, strawberry, orange, passion fruit, dragon fruit, blueberry, pomegranate, yogurt and granola. I like the idea that you get a different taste of each vibrant fruit from sour to sweetness.

GISMO is a casual all comfortable all-day eatery. The restaurant is located at Sukhumvit 39 Boulevard in the heart of fierce competition of gourmet business in Sukhumvit area. Restaurant’s ambiance are relaxing with lots of greenery the place is not crazy close to each other like some restaurant nowadays.

Similar as amazing decoration, staffs were well-trained and very informative as expected from top notch restaurant.

Since I’m here for some business. I ordered a light lunch BBQ chicken thigh and Fettucine Salmon Cream Gogonzola.

BBQ chicken thigh – Tomato salsa, slaw & sesame

Chicken are well seasoned and not too sweet as some BBQ sauce. The texture are still crispy and boneless. Tomato salsa are so fresh and green apple salad packs such an acidity.  This was a well-balanced menu for an appetizer.

Fettucine Salmon Cream Gogonzola – Seasonal mushroom, baked tomato, dill leaf & fume Gogonzola cream sauce

The texture of Fettucine are just perfect. Gogonzola cream are not too thick and salty. Still, salmon texture are little bit too dry for my taste.

Clean and well-decorated restrooms.
