Kobe is the capital of Hyogo prefecture and a busy port town. With these various trading activity, Kobe became blending pot for series of culture and various structure style from many regions.
I started with Tachiba restaurant which I have discovered without doing any preparation and research before traveling to Kobe. The place serves Akashi yaki which substitute Takoyaki flour by egg.
The result of changing the ingredient? Well, it’s amazing! Egg gave a fluffy texture and dipping Akashi Yaki into the light clear soup make it one of most appetizing meal I have ever came across. Gotta love it when chef flip the pan and Akashi yaki just came out easily and ready to be serve.
Then I went for a dessert café (La sensation) and got a custard cake with small dot of sour sauce to provide more dimension in color. Most satisfying cake indeed.
After having a nice snack and dessert, I stumbled upon Motoko market which located under the train track in Kobe. Series of classic and interesting shop inside for exploring.

Starting with my trip in Kobe by visiting Meriken park in Kobe. Kobe is a beautiful port town as harmony between town planning are beautifully managed. I have attached video taken from Starbucks showing fantastic view on a sunny day in Kobe.
As I am in Kobe. Kobe beef is a must try delicacy. I went for a Steakland near Sannomiya station which just recently renovated. The queue took about 20 minutes until they invite me inside for a beautiful marbling Kobe beef meal.
I went for a Kobe beef steal lunch set (150 g).
Then they start serving side dishes and ask whether I would like some fried garlic.
After finishing preparation, the chef started cooking the beef using Teppanyaki technique. It is one of the most interesting sight to see how well-trained cooking technique.
The beef texture is so tender. Does not take a long time to finish this exceptional meal. No wonder why Kobe beef are so famous in the Culinary world. Personally, I think the sauce does give some kick which make the beef more interesting in term of flavor.
