Place

Aree and Saphankhwai area has always been an unique and vibrant with new and exciting place popping up when you are least expected. Most of the places claim themselves as a friendly ambiance like your friends house still, it is quite rare to finally find a truly comfortable restaurant with amazing dishes.

To be honest, I am quite excited to visited Place after reviewing their menu with their exquisite ingredients combined with affordable prices. So I just went for a visit as they proceed in their third month of openings. Place are located in Inthramara Soi 4 which is quite a rare sight for these area. There are only around 8 seats at the moment so I strongly recommend booking before visiting to avoid any disappointment.

Starting with their fine dining ambiance, staff are friendly and truly knowledgeable about their menu. Their special mocktail and dishes are just a waves of exciting information from fresh techniques to combination of such curious taste like sweetness from Chrysanthemum with sour and acidity of orange juice. This just getting me too exhilarated.

Starting with Green & Balsamic with cherry tomatoes, Fresh and bitter free green salad with not too overpowered balsamic. I personally like a cherry tomatoes with a little bit of salted flavor just to kick start the full meal.

Black Truffle Carbonara are just beautifully presented. The aroma of Truffle and portion are just insanely unbelievable. As contrast to widely too creamy and too salty Carbonara, this dish was perfected to balanced seasoning and texture. Also, plus side on crispy yet not sticky Bacon on top. As they are having promotion of 50% off of this dish. The final price came out as 260 THB which is around 8.3 USD or 870 JPY. My hands are still shaking as of now due to the concept of how good this deal are lol.

A5 Tajima Wagyu (100 g) garlic fried rice, pickled shallot, crispy garlic and chives. First of all Tajima Wagyu are just extremely satisfying. I just wish they slice it in a longer portion though. Well-round fried rice with a plus of chives and pickled shallot.

Overall, I would say that Place are quite a gem around this area and I would personally revisit this place again really soon before it became more well-known are became more difficult to book a table. Last mention of the atmosphere, totally love it how friendly the owner (Khun Nam) and staffs are. Two thumbs up for Place!

Wenting Hot Pot

Start my first meal in Taiwan trip with Wenting Hot Pot. Weting emphasize on Emperor level service with finest ingredients. I have arrived around noon time without any queue and got a table right away.

Their front service provides costume for photo shoot, massage chair, nail decoration service, candy and hot tea in case you have to wait for the table.

Mix your own sauce corner. Variety of ingredients to make your own sauce depends on individual preference.

Ordered two persons Wagyu Surf & Turf set. The set were served beautifully. Mala soup is a numbing Chinese soup which consists of Sichuan peppercorn, chili pepper and various spices simmered with oil. From the photos it is red color soup on the right. Wenting soup are abundance in herb and spice ingredients and full of flavor. A trick is not to dip vegetables in Mala soup since it will soak too much Mala and resulted in too numbing flavor. Most people prefer dipping meat/seafood for a short duration and enjoy the flavor

Seafood

Abalone

Abalone size are just bite size. The texture are fresh and resulted in sweet and enjoyable flavor.

Matsuzaka Pork

Apparently, Matsuzaka pork is not a famous dish in Japan. From my research, I understand that it is a coined term in Taiwan. Definition aside pork texture are good and enjoyable. If anyone have further detail, it would be appreciated and I would update the info in the future.

Rising Yakiniku

It’s a new year season which means celebration and party festival are just around the corner. My memory of new year always filled with lots of memorable conversation with good cuisine and beverages. I went to a premium Yakiniku restaurant with a groups of friends from my high school. I would like to give my appreciation for all followers of my blog and hope you have a wonderful and healthy year in 2019 🙂

Pricing are ranges from 599, 1199 and 1499 THB for buffet style and that doesn’t include drinks, Vat and service charge. We went for 1499 THB since we would like to know what luxurious items the place has to offer.

Preparing for the meal with Thai style Yakiniku sauce by adding lime, chili and crunched garlic.

Starting off with premium Premium Beef Tongue. Came in shape similar to famous Sendai Beef Tongue and taste insanely good with salt and little pinch of lime. Make sure you don’t overcook it.

Seasonal Japanese Scallops – Impressive size of scallops. Not the fresh like from the sea but still a good and satisfying quality for the price.

Wagyu Rib Loin – Balance amount of Wagyu goodness with a decent softness.

Taraba Crab – Since Thailand doesn’t have a cool sea environment, Taraba are surely rare and often frozen. The texture are still sweet and good though just don’t expect crazy fresh quality like from a fish market.

Wagyu Karubi – Karubi are often seen as special menu in wide variety of Yakiniku place due to its softness texture. Good Karubi texture but, still some piece are too slim.

Premium Wagyu Loin – Beautiful marble texture. The texture are moderately soft and enjoyable.

Seasonal Japanese fresh Oyster – I haven’t tried this menu. My friends like it so much they go for 2nd round though.

Ended this satisfying meal with Matcha ice cream. Personally, I think this is one of a top place to enjoy good Wagyu/Seafood with controlled budget. Good and fast service and perfect for when Wagyu craving kick in.
