Yamato Yakiniku

If you have been following my blog closely. You will surely know that I always have a soft spot for a good beef or seafood meal from my past experience in Hokkaido. As soon as I heard that there is a good Wagyu deal on lunch set around Sukhumvit 49 area, I just rush to the restaurant just to clarify how good this deal is.

Yamato Yakiniku are a branch of well-known restaurant from Iwate. Wagyu lunch set are from 190 THB to 290 THB. The pricing are just shockingly insane compared to other places. Presentation photos looks nice so let’s check it out.

I ordered a Jyou Wagyu set A [290 THB] and it was beautiful. Wagyu texture seems to be a sight to behold to marbling just waiting to be sizzle to perfection. I will review each parts of Wagyu based on each photos.

Wagyu Jyou Karubi

The best Wagyu from the plate. Majestic beautiful texture speaks for itself. Just grill for a brief moment then enjoy with salt, tare(sauce) or vinegar as your heart desire.

Wagyu Jyou Rosu

Less marbling fat content resulted in more firm texture. Therefore, less grilling are required for this part.

Gyu Tan (Jyou Shio Tan)

Gyu Tan are well-known as a signature dish around Sendai area of Japan. My favorite way to enjoy is just grill for a short duration then topped with lime and salt to enjoy Gyu Tan amazing texture.

Nakaochi Karubi

Nakaochi are served as a cube shape rib Wagyu. Texture are more on a bit chewy but not too chewy in a good way.

Wagyu Jyou Harami

Harami is one of the top runners in this set as a balance marble and meat ratio. Just try to grill for a brief period.

Finished with a Vanilla ice cream. Overall bill came out as 400 THB plus drinks and service charge which is acceptable for me. I would surely came back to try out another menu if possible for sure.

Rising Yakiniku

It’s a new year season which means celebration and party festival are just around the corner. My memory of new year always filled with lots of memorable conversation with good cuisine and beverages. I went to a premium Yakiniku restaurant with a groups of friends from my high school. I would like to give my appreciation for all followers of my blog and hope you have a wonderful and healthy year in 2019 🙂

Pricing are ranges from 599, 1199 and 1499 THB for buffet style and that doesn’t include drinks, Vat and service charge. We went for 1499 THB since we would like to know what luxurious items the place has to offer.

Preparing for the meal with Thai style Yakiniku sauce by adding lime, chili and crunched garlic.

Starting off with premium Premium Beef Tongue. Came in shape similar to famous Sendai Beef Tongue and taste insanely good with salt and little pinch of lime. Make sure you don’t overcook it.

Seasonal Japanese Scallops – Impressive size of scallops. Not the fresh like from the sea but still a good and satisfying quality for the price.

Wagyu Rib Loin – Balance amount of Wagyu goodness with a decent softness.

Taraba Crab – Since Thailand doesn’t have a cool sea environment, Taraba are surely rare and often frozen. The texture are still sweet and good though just don’t expect crazy fresh quality like from a fish market.

Wagyu Karubi – Karubi are often seen as special menu in wide variety of Yakiniku place due to its softness texture. Good Karubi texture but, still some piece are too slim.

Premium Wagyu Loin – Beautiful marble texture. The texture are moderately soft and enjoyable.

Seasonal Japanese fresh Oyster – I haven’t tried this menu. My friends like it so much they go for 2nd round though.

Ended this satisfying meal with Matcha ice cream. Personally, I think this is one of a top place to enjoy good Wagyu/Seafood with controlled budget. Good and fast service and perfect for when Wagyu craving kick in.

I have been collecting and painting Warhammer 40k for a long time. It’s a game of strategy miniatures which you control a army of human or aliens (Xenos). Finally discovered that there are a group of people playing in a cafe not too far from my area. Here’s some photos from my recent match. My army are Eldar by the way.

The match took some reasonable time which cranks up my appetite then me and my friends went for a Yakiniku place close to the cafe. The place provide buffet range from 399, 499, 599 and 1199 THB net. We went for 599 THB range in order to try some different menus.

Starting with Aburi beef Nigiri, tender beef texture with light sweet sauce topped with Tobiko. Overall are enjoyable except that the rice are slightly cold.

Scallops Sushi are fresh and resulting in fresh sweetness. Similarly, rice are slightly cold as same as Beef Sushi.

Wagyu texture are impressive for this price range. Still the texture are tender and enjoyable.

Sweet Yakiniku sauce mixed with garlic and chili, beautiful and adds a lot of flavor.

Salmon Sashimi, I’ve gotta say that this is the most impressive quality of Salmon Sashimi I have ever had in a buffet line. Fresh and tender with little Shoyu and it’ll blow you away.

Fresh Scallops for Yakiniku. Good quality of Scallops, not a most suitable choice for Yakiniku because of heating though.

Awabi Sushi, chewy in a good way, the sauce are sweet and enjoyable too.
